2008 EWGA Houston Chapter President

Our Mission

Our History

The Houston Chapter originally started with 40 members in May of 1993.  Today we have 210-plus members.  The Houston Chapter is governed by our association headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Houston Chapter has a board of directors which presides over our chapter. Our Board of Directors work together to meet our mission and run this growing and exciting organization.

In 1999, the EWGA was re-organized to improve networking between the chapters.  Houston now belongs to an all-Texas section, including chapters in Austin, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Ft. Worth, and San Antonio. 

Chapter Goals and Objectives

  Educate women in the game of golf including techniques and etiquette.
  Participate in community events with a primary goal if raising funds for charities.
  Promote confidence and camaraderie.
  Increase EWGA member's exposure to the Houston golf industry.
  Offer a broad range of golf events and networking opportunities.

EWGA Affiliations

  Host partner is American Golf Corporation.
  Host Clubs: Bear Creek Golf World, Cypresswood, and Wildcat Golf Club.
  Michelle Gann, National Advisory Board Member and LPGA Teaching Professional.
