 In
The Spirit of GIVING to something greater than
yourself....
Ladies, next week is Veteran's day and in the
category of things being "far more important
than golf", we want to acknowledge those
veterans who are members of EWGA Houston and
whose efforts have enabled the freedom of our
great nation and the ability to play the game we
love. So thank you to Julia Arthur, Sharon
Leonard and Deb Sanders for your service. And
if I have missed someone, please let me know
because you deserve to be acknowledged.
In keeping with the spirit of "giving your
time", I would also like to acknowledge the 33
members of the Houston Chapter who have
volunteered to work at the upcoming LPGA Tour
Championship. Of the 861 volunteers, the
Houston Chapter has contributed 4% of the total
which equates to 18% of our current membership.

Upcoming Events!
End of the Year Celebration
Get those calendars out, and mark the date of
Sunday, December 6,
2009. This will be an afternoon gathering
for our Year End Celebration and Volunteer
Recognition Party!!! Many EWGA members have
volunteered throughout 2009 to make the Houston
Chapter a huge success. We would like to celebrate a
fantastic 2009 season with all EWGA members and
thank the volunteers who helped make this year
great. Be on the lookout for an Evite to this

2010 EWGA Golfpalooza
If you've never attended a National
EWGA event, it is quite an experience. The
magnitude and diversity of professional women is
tremendous, not to mention the incredible golf at

The EWGA Golfpalooza (formerly known
as the EWGA Conference) is one of the most
anticipated events of the year, bringing together
women from across the Association with the common
goal of playing golf and lots of it, having fun,
forging friendships, and gaining personally and
professionally while having fun. Why the name
change? EWGA members have spoken - they want golf,
fun, and a lot of laughs, and we aim to deliver!
In 2010, the EWGA returns to
Pinehurst, considered by many as the birthplace of
golf in the United States and ranked #1 Golf Resort
in the U.S. by the readers of Travel + Leisure Golf
