Rules and flights

Championship, First and some Scramble teams will play the White Tees as are

Second, Third, Fourth and remaining Scramble teams will play the Red Tees as are

Championship flight is 0.0 - 8.0

First Flight is 8.1 - 16.0

Second Flight is 16.1 - 24.0

Third Flight is 24.1 - 32.0

Fourth Flight is 32.1 - 40.4

Championship and First flights will play from the White tees with a slope / rating of 71.2 / 125

Second, Third and Fourth flights will play from the Red tees with a slope / rating of 70.1 / 120

Scramble

	5.0 or less is +3
	5.1 - 13.0 is +2
	13.1 - 20.0 is +1
	20.1 - 27.0 is 0
	27.1 - 33.0 is -1
	33.1 - 40.4 is -2
	Teams must be within a total of + / - 4
	If a Team member is between 5.0 and 27.0 she will play the White Tees
	If a Team member is between 27.1 and 40.4 she will play the Red Tees

Our goal is to have a representative from each flight at Regional. That is a Low Gross and Low Net winner. Even if you have never participated, please consider doing so this year. It's fun and a great way to learn a different golf perspective. Please send your check of sign up on-line ASAP. Also, fill out this form (either .pdf or Word) and send to ztrahan@us.ibm.com.

You must have played three 18-hole rounds OR six 9-hole rounds in 2008 to validate your golf handicap for the chapter championship. The required rounds MUST be played before the championship registration deadline. Otherwise you will not be eligible to participate in the Houston Chapter Championship.

The EWGA handicap system (any USGA approved system i.e GHIN) updates on April 25, so please make sure that you have played the required number of rounds for 2008 AND make sure that your golf scores are listed on the system.

Beginners Clinic and Chapter Championship Awards lunch

We want all of our members to have an opportunity to enjoy the festivities of Chapter Championship. Therefore, we have arranged a third option for the May 3rd event especially for our beginner golfers. Ally Saunders, Director of Education at Oakhurst Golf Club, will give a beginners clinic for anyone wanting to participate. Following the clinic, you will have some time to practice what you learn then join everyone at the Chapter Championship Awards Lunch.
